22681. जंगल को आग से बचाने के लिए अनोखी पहल, चीड़ के काँटों से बना दिया बायोडिग्रेडेबल फेस शील्ड
- 1. जंगल में आग की समस्या को देखते हुए अभिनव ने अपने साथी, मैत्री वी के साथ मिलकर अपने वेंचर वाशिन कम्पोजिट्स के तहत, चीड़ के काँटों से अब तक बायोडिग्रेडेबल फेस शील्ड, चम्मच, मग से लेकर प्लेट्स, बाउल्स और ग्लास जैसी कई अविश्वसनीय उत्पादों को बना दिया। आज उनके उत्पादों की माँग पूरे देश में है।
- 2. हिमाचल प्रदेश में चीड़ के पेड़ बड़े पैमाने पर हैं और गर्मी के मौसम में यहाँ आग लगना सामान्य बात है। इस वजह से पर्यावरण को भारी नुकसान होने के साथ-साथ आम जनजीवन भी काफी प्रभावित होता है। ऊँचे पहाड़ों और खूबसूरत वादियों के बीच एक छोटे से शहर दगशाई में पले-बढ़े अभिनव तलवार ने एक स्टार्टअप के जरिए इस समस्या का समाधान निकालने का प्रयास किया है।
- 3. दिल्ली स्थित यह स्टार्टअप चीड़ के इन काँटों से अब तक बायोडिग्रेडेबल फेस शील्ड, चम्मच, मग से लेकर प्लेट्स, बाउल्स और ग्लास जैसी कई अविश्वसनीय उत्पादों का निर्माण कर चुकी है और आज उनके उत्पादों की माँग पूरे देश में है।

- 1. Researchers at IIT Kharagpur have developed cellulose nano-crystals from cucumber peels, raising the possibility to create environment-friendly food packaging materials in future.
- 2. The cellulose nano-material developed from raw cucumber waste by Professor Jayeeta Mitra and research scholar N Sai Prasanna at IIT Kharagpur has addressed this challenge of finding an environment-friendly substitute to food packaging materials (Your Story, 18 November 2020) News Link
- 4. The researchers are optimistic about its scope in various fields like paper making, coating additives, bio- composites, and optically transparent films.
22683. हरियाणा का वह छात्र जिसने 16 साल की उम्र में कर दिया साँसों से बोलने वाली मशीन का आविष्कार
- हरियाणा के पानीपत के रहने वाले अर्श शाह दिलबगी ने महज 16 साल की उम्र में ‘टॉक’ नाम से एक ऐसे यंत्र को बना डाला था, जो एमियोट्रॉफ़िक लैटरल स्कलिरॉसिस और पार्किंसन रोग जैसी बीमारियों की वजह से अपनी आवाज खो बैठे लोगों को साँसों के जरिए बोलने में मदद कर सकती है।
- अर्श के इस डिवाइस का नाम ‘टॉक’ है और यह संवर्धी एवं वैकल्पिक संचार यंत्र है। यह एम्योट्रोफिक लेटरल स्केलेरोसिस (एएलएस) बीमारी से निपटने में मदद करता है। बता दें कि एएलएस एक न्यूरो-डिसॉर्डर रोग है, जो मस्तिष्क और रीढ़ की तंत्रिका कोशिकाओं को प्रभावित करता है।
- टॉक’ का डिजाइन काफी सरल है और यह काफी आसानी से पोर्टेबल है। यह उस वक्त दुनिया का एकमात्र एएसी उपकरण था, जो साँसों को आवाज देता है।
22684. Indian Scientists Make Unique ‘Triboelectricity’ Mask, Claim 95% Viral Protection
- A group of scientists from the Bengaluru-based Centre for Nano Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS) invent a mask that uses triboelectricity to provide protection
- The N95 masks provide high-level protection and are recommended for healthcare workers. This is because it works on two methods — mechanical filtering
- Though rudimentary in its concept, Dr Pralay says that the mask is 95 per cent effective in blocking particulate matter of 0.3 microns.

- 1. द बेटर इंडिया से बातचीत में ब्रजेश कहते हैं, “पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद, मैं सीबीएसई के साथ गोपालगंज में सीसीई कंट्रोलर के तौर पर काम कर रहा था। लेकिन, मेरा इरादा खुद का कुछ शुरू करने का था। इसलिए मैंने साल 2013 में अपनी नौकरी छोड़ दी।”
- 2. ब्रजेश बताते हैं, “साल 2015 में, मैं राष्ट्रीय डेयरी विकास बोर्ड, आणंद (गुजरात) से जुड़ा। इसके तहत मैंने कई किसानों को प्रशिक्षण दिया। फिर, जरूरतों को समझते हुए मैंने साल 2017 में, पशुपालन के साथ-साथ किसानों के खेती पैदावार को बढ़ाने के लिए वर्मी कंपोस्ट बनाने का काम भी शुरू कर दिया। क्योंकि, मैंने समझा कि अपने कार्यों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए नए नजरिए को अपनाना अनिवार्य है।”

22686. 23-YO Engineer Builds Wind Turbine That Can Generate Both Electricity & Water!
- Madhu Vajrakarur, a 23-year-old electrical engineering student from Andhra Pradesh has built a two-in-one wind turbine that can generate electricity and clean drinking water.
- The 15-foot tall wind turbine gathers moisture from the atmosphere. This is directed through a copper pipe, like the ones used in refrigerators, and finally reaches a three-stage filter.
- It cost him a total of Rs 1 lakh, which was provided by his parents and from his own savings.
22687. Meet the School Girl Who Won a Global Award For Designing a Solar Ironing Cart
- Vinisha Umashankar, a class 8 student from Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu has designed an award-winning solar ironing cart to reduce the use of charcoal.
- Vinisha says, “To make 1 kg of charcoal 12 fully-grown trees are cut down and it is estimated that there are 10 million ironing carts in India and each burns at least 5 kgs of charcoal every day.
- Her idea won the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE award and an international award called the Children’s Climate Prize, one of the world’s largest international climate awards for young innovators.
22688. Bengaluru Startup Gives Old Batteries New Life, Repurposes Them to Power Lights, Fans
- Bengaluru startup Nunam repurposes old batteries into an energy source more affordable and efficient than candles.
- They collect old batteries from e-waste dealers and distribute their repurposed energy storage systems to street vendors and small shopkeepers.
- It is way better to not recycle that which can be repurposed. With such a reuse system in place, the cost of energy can go down by 50% compared to using new lithium-ion batteries.
22689. Suzlon Energy posts net profit of Rs 37 cr in Dec quarter
- Suzlon Energy has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 37.73 crore in the December 2021 quarter mainly on account of higher revenues.
- The company had reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 118.06 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal
- Its total income rose to Rs 1,615.06 crore in the reported quarter from Rs 959.52 crore in the same period a year ago. Suzlon Energy Limited is an Indian multinational wind turbine manufacturer based in Pune, India. It was formerly ranked by MAKE as the world's fifth largest wind turbine supplier

22690. Made-in-India Nissan Magnite is now exported to 15 global markets
- Nissan India launched its all-new sub-compact SUV, Magnite, in December 2020 and it has been performing very well for the carmaker. The Magnite is manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant in Tamil Nadu.
- The company has already exported 6,344 units of the Nissan Magnite cumulatively till December 2021. in December 2020, more than 42,000 Magnite SUVs have been produced in Chennai
- The Made-in-India Nissan Magnite is now on sale in 15 countries across the world. They are: India, Indonesia, South Africa, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Uganda, Kenya, Seychelles, Mozambique, Zambia, Mauritius, Tanzania, and Malawi.
